At the Beach............

On our way home from San Francisco this weekend, we stopped at our favorite beach at the Marin Headlands. We were in no hurry to get back to Sacramento where 100 degree temps were waiting for us.

I am not usually one to simply sit on the beach, but with a surfing competition (for kids) taking place, we decided to relax and watch for a bit. The weather was absolutely perfect and I believe I may have set a personal record for "sitting".

I should back up a little..............during the days leading up to the weekend away, all I could think about was the work I had to do. I have deadlines and events all coming up at the same time and seriously, the timing could not have been worse. But these plans had been made months ago...................

So here I was, totally "chilling" on the beach and feeling fairly confident that I would get done what I needed to, and the rest would simply have to wait. How did that happen?

I think ocean air needs to be bottled up or something. Everything changes for me when I am at the beach. Little things don't matter anymore, worries are lifted and taken out to sea, and all is right with my world!

Did I mention we saw dolphins too ?! Pure magic..................

I thought I would share a few of my images from that day. These were all taken with my iPhone using "Hipstamatic", and most of the processing was done in "Snapseed".

  1. without hesitation the second. It has everything.

    1. Thank you Martina! That one seems to be getting the most votes on my FB page......

  2. Number 3 has it for me too ~ kind of tells a few stories within the whole of the photo ~ but they're all wonderful :)

  3. I like #3. It seems to tell the 'whole summer to the beach' story. i love the tones too - makes it timeless.

  4. Number 2 is my favorite with the man looking out to sea with the little child on the right. Fun to study these.
